This is a hike on the famed Pacific Crest Trail.

It starts with a walk across a dam on the Pit River, and shortly arrives at Burney Falls

6.7 miles in you arrive at a campsite (suitable for up to 12 tents) at very large freshwater Arkright Springs

The next day the hike ends at Baum Lake, a birding hot spot.  The Crystal Lake fish hatchery is adjacent

It is an excellent late spring hike, while the Sacramento Valley is heating up, but the High Country is still under snow

It is a shuttle hike, you need two cars
