A long walk
across sunny hillsides, dipping into canyons with creeks.
Good for a sunny Winter day.
Bowers Creek (about half way out
the trail) may be difficult to cross after storms.
The hillsides are cloaked
with chaparral, less common in Northern California, but
common in Southern California. Ours is comprised of
Manzanita, Chamise, Scrub Oak, Toyon, Buckbrush, and other
shrubs.
This trail used to be called
the Nomlaki Trail by the US Forest Service(and the Chico
Hiking Association)
