This hike follows the Pacific Crest Trail into fir forest, and then onto the ridge between Cub Creek and Butt Creek. 

A short climbers trail takes you to an open knob atop the ridge for fine view in all directions.

This hike is in Lassen National Forest; owned by the public, managed by Lassen National Forest. Backpacking welcomed; campfires welcomed except late Summer & early Fall.
